Halloween Community Service opportunity

Parents of Allergic Kids (PAK) is in need of volunteers for an event they are holding on Halloween morning (Saturday, 10/31 from 10am until noon).  It is a Food Free Halloween Carnival for children with life-threatening food allergies.  It is a special event that their non-profit support group, Parents of Allergic Kids, does each year since Halloween is difficult for children who are allergic to peanuts, milk, eggs, etc.  This year it will be at the St. Matthew Catholic Church in Ballantyne in their Parish Center Gymnasium.  They have sent out invitations to their members and already have over 100 kids coming!  They are in need of volunteers to monitor the carnival games, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts tables.  For people needing community service hours, they will probably need them to come an hour or so before for set-up (8:30 a.m.) and an hour after for putting away the tables, etc.  Maybe a total of 4 to 5 hours.  If any QGHS students are interested, please see Mrs. Amaral, Mrs. Southerland, or Mr. Cuthbertson. Click here for a map of where the church is located.
