Booksh accepted to Lenoir-Rhyne University

Please congratulate Steven Booksh on his recent acceptance to Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC.  Way to go Steven!
The dream of Lenoir-Rhyne began in 1891 when four Lutheran pastors created a school where young people could receive a sound education based on religious principles and Christian values. The doors to the one-room school, then called Highland Academy, opened with 12 students.In 1895, the college assumed its first official synodical sponsorship which continues today with the North Carolina Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Campbell University was founded as Buies Creek Academy on January 5, 1887, by James Archibald Campbell, a North Carolina preacher who believed that no student should be denied admission because of lack of funds. In 1926, the school attained junior college status and changed its name from Buies Creek Academy to Campbell Junior College. In 1961, Campbell became a senior college. The name was changed to Campbell University on June 6, 1979.
